Sell, Sell, Sell
Now, publishing is one thing – selling a book is another. And you'll discover that soon enough, when you will have everything ready, and nobody is buying - or when you have ordered 10 or 15 copies and try to sell them yourself, through family and friends.
Perhaps any writer needs to ask himself: have I investigated the industry thoroughly before launching?
And that's where the advice given earlier to invest time in promoting your book or project through social media will come to fruition. You will have a rough ballpark of the potential buyers by counting the number of "likes" on your facebook page - except of course that only a small ratio will actually buy the book.
Producing and marketing may instill unforeseen investments that he might not be able to handle.
If all authors believe that the book will succeed by adding their own effort, then self-publish.
They’ll even have fun. And even if the number of copy sold isn't as good as you thought they would - that's probably the only thing that will cheer you up in the end - at least, you had some fun!
